Simone Biles

Simone Biles, American gymnast (born 14 March 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) She was regarded as one of sport's best athletes. Biles was the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was one of the few to win four gold medals at the same Games at the 2016 Olympics. Biles is also the first person to win three world titles consecutively. Biles is from Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. They were raised in the Houston metropolitan area. Simone became interested in gymnastics when she was just six during a day-care field trip in Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years, under the guidance of her instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles won the vault and floor exercises at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the elite competition level in 2011. In less than two years, she was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles was distinguished by her consistent performance, exuberant character, as well as the difficulty she encountered at each of the four events: vault, uneven bars, and the balance beam.
